Lush Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash Review
Lush Cosmetics men's range comes with a raft of reasons why so many gentlemen have switched to this hugely popular collection in recent years. Proud to fight animal testing and create 100% vegetarian formulas, the integrity and wholesomeness of Lush, as a brand, is clear for all eyes to see. Aside from exciting and natural ingredients, all of Lush's men's range is handmade, giving each individual pot a touch of character and personalization, which I love!
This week, I've been lucky enough to try out their Kalamazoo Beard and Facial Wash, for the very first time and am incredibly excited to share with you today, just how I got on with it. I actually stumbled into Lush Cosmetics down in Brighton last week, to pick up my girlfriend a couple of bath bombs and was instantly taken with the sophisticated and stylish look of their male products. Kalamazoo stuck out more than most, as I've never actually seen a product that specifically caters for the skin and beard in one smooth swoop. Needless to say guys, I couldn't wait to give it a try.
This Beard and Facial Wash has been designed to keep things bright and bushy in the bathroom (that doesn't sound dodgy at all!) and generates a rich and creamy lather, perfect for both the facial forest and skin. A couple of ingredients that really stuck out for me were fresh pineapple juice, explosive in energizing enzymes that cleanse the skin and slough away dirt and grime from deep within, along with almond and jojoba oil, which leaves the beard soft and stylish, - creating some serious beard envy.
I particularly love how I have to scoop this product out of its brutally masculine pot, before slathering it around my face and beard. It almost takes my men's grooming routine back to a simpler time and it has a brilliant consistency too, that's thick enough to clearly give my skin a great cleanse. Kalamazoo lathers up just enough to create nice lubrication between my hands and skin and after a couple of minutes of cleansing, my skin feels squeaky clean. It's easily rinsed out of my beard too and no longer does that feel dry and itchy after my shower.
This beard and face wash almost has a moisturiser like texture to it, which again is a huge positive in my book. I've noticed at how naturally soft my skin feels, both during and after my face wash, whereas before, my skin would be craving an instant hit of moisturiser, to balance out its dryness. My skin feels velvety, cleansed and hydrated and these are little perks you too can look forward to, simply by slipping this little versatile masterpiece into your daily male skin care routine.
Does it fight acne and spots? Will it prevent future break outs? If my experience so far is anything to go by, the answers are astounding yes's!
At a price of around £14 for the larger size (240ml), Kalamazoo represents excellent value. It's bold and masculine packaging gives a cool and trendy vibe to men's grooming and this face wash would also make a great gift for that special man in your life. Its other ingredients include Water (Aqua), Glycerine, Apricot Kernel Oil, Cupuacu Butter and Brazilian Lime Oil, which all combine to create a powerful, nicely smelling and ultra revitalizing face wash, that's lead to my skin looking fresher, less fatigued and much more toned. My first experience with Lush Cosmetics has been a positive one and needless to say, I cannot wait to try more over the coming weeks, as we head into spring.
